Son of Gad and founder of the Arodite clan
Biography
Arod was a son of Gad and grandson of Israel (or 'Jacob'), listed among the 70 members of Jacob's family who moved to Egypt during the famine. He was the founder of the Arodite clan within the tribe of Gad.
