Arnan was a descendant of King David of Israel through his son Solomon, appearing in a genealogy in 1 Chronicles. He was the son of Rephaiah, the son of Jeshaiah, the son of Hananiah, the son of Zerubbabel, who led the first group of exiles back from Babylon.
