    Prayer for this passage

Father, strengthen my confidence in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Teach me to receive your Word as reliable truth, to handle it carefully, and to pass it on faithfully so that others may know the certainty of what you have done in your Son, in Jesus' name.

    Prayer for this passage

Lord Jesus, Spirit-anointed Messiah, teach me to receive you as Scripture reveals you. Free me from entitlement, resentment, and shallow familiarity, and make me glad in your mercy to the poor, the captive, the blind, the oppressed, and the outsider, in Jesus' name.

  3. 3
    Sermon 3 Luke 9:51-13:21

    Journey Begins, Discipleship, and Kingdom

The journey to Jerusalem becomes a sustained lesson in costly discipleship and kingdom reversal.

    Prayer for this passage

Lord Jesus, you set your face toward Jerusalem for sinners like me. Correct every retaliatory instinct in my heart, discipline my zeal by your mercy, and teach me to follow you with resolve, patience, and cross-shaped love, in Jesus' name.

    Prayer for this passage

Lord Jesus, deliver me from speculation, presumption, and empty familiarity. Teach me to enter through the narrow door while mercy calls. Make me rejoice in your kingdom feast and humble me under your great reversal, in Jesus' name.

  5. 5
    Sermon 5 Luke 19:28-23:56

    Royal Entry, Trial, and Cross

The royal entry, temple action, trial, and crucifixion show Jesus moving toward the saving center of the gospel.

    Prayer for this passage

Lord, as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey to fulfill the ancient prophecies, grant us eyes to see that He is indeed our rightful King, coming not in conquest but in peace. We confess that we have often failed to recognize His kingship and join the chorus of those who should be crying out His praises. Transform our hearts to surrender fully to the One who willingly journeyed toward the cross for our redemption, trusting that His prophetic work and sacrificial love accomplish what no earthly kingdom ever could.

  6. 6
    Sermon 6 Luke 24:1-53

    Resurrection, Scripture, and Ascension

The risen Christ opens the Scriptures, blesses His people, and ascends in victorious presence.

    Prayer for this passage

Father, as the women found the empty tomb and heard the angel's proclamation that Jesus is risen just as He said, strengthen my wavering faith to trust in His fulfilled word over my doubting heart. You raised the crucified Son of Man from the dead, proving His power over death itself and validating every promise He made to us. Grant me the courage of those early disciples to move from fear and bewilderment into bold proclamation of the risen Christ. I surrender my need for earthly certainty and commit myself to follow the Jesus who conquered death, confident that His resurrection is the foundation of all my hope.
