Father of one of Solomon's district governors

Biography

Paruah was the father of Jehoshaphat, who served as one of the twelve district governors under King Solomon, according to 1Ki.4.17. Each governor was responsible for providing provisions for the royal household for one month of the year. Jehoshaphat son of Paruah was assigned to the hill country of Ephraim.
