Biography

Amok was a priest who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian exile. He is mentioned in the list of priests who came back with Zerubbabel and Jeshua. Later, during the time of Nehemiah, Amok is recorded as one of the priests who signed the covenant to follow the Law of God and to keep themselves separate from the neighboring peoples.
